SUNRISE MEDICAL LABORATORIES NAMED ONE OF THE 25 FASTEST GROWING COMPANIES:

Laboratory Recognized for Fourth Time. Also Named One of "Top 50 Private Firms" for Second Consecutive Year

Hauppauge, NY, October 18, 2002 —Sunrise Medical Laboratories is pleased to announce that it has been named one of Long Island's "25 Fastest-Growing" private firms. Sunrise was also, for the second time, named one of Long Island’s “Top 50 Largest” private firms in the 2002. KPMG LLP, Hofstra University and Long Island Business News sponsor the annual Long Island Entrepreneurial Spirit Awards.  This is the fourth time Sunrise has received the “25 Fastest-Growing” award, which is based on a company's revenue growth over the previous year. Because of the nature of the award it is unusual for a company to receive it multiple years.

Sunrise will be honored on October 30th at the Salute to Long Island’s Entrepreneurial Spirit Awards at Crest Hollow Country Club where Senator Charles Schumer will be the keynote speaker.
